Finance Director | $160K–$190K Base | Boston, MA | Hybrid

A leading global alternative investment firm is seeking a senior finance professional to serve as the primary day-to-day finance lead for its insurance-focused asset management business.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a complex, evolving platform, partner with investment teams and senior stakeholders, and build scalable finance infrastructure across a diverse portfolio of investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the day-to-day finance function for an insurance-focused asset management business
Oversee NAV reviews, investor capital reporting, consolidations, US GAAP valuations, expense allocations, and cash management
Manage year-end audits and relationships with external auditors and fund administrators
Build scalable finance processes and infrastructure to support continued growth
Partner with investment, portfolio management, legal, tax, compliance, and operations teams
Support investment monitoring, valuation committee materials, and complex ad hoc reporting requests

Qualifications:

12+ years of experience within an investment adviser and/or public accounting firm
Strong asset management finance experience; insurance industry experience is a plus, but not required
Familiarity with complex investment structures, private investments, fund-of-funds, derivatives, or structured assets
Strong understanding of US GAAP, fund reporting, valuations, and audit processes
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
CPA, CFA, or equivalent qualification

Compensation: $160,000–$190,000 base salary
