Job Description
- Partner directly with business owners to develop financial strategies aligned with short-term objectives and long-term growth goals.
- Analyze P&Ls, balance sheets, cash flow, budgets, forecasts, revenue streams, gross margins, and profitability to identify opportunities.
- Develop and manage quarterly and annual budgeting, revenue forecasting, and financial review processes.
- Build financial models, reporting packages, presentations, and forecasts that give clients a clear view of their financial position.
- Advise clients on expense management, personnel costs, marketing spend, owner draws, and resource allocation.
- Develop corporate, department, and employee KPIs that support accountability and business performance.
- Advise clients on compensation structures and incentive models tied to measurable performance.
- Help clients understand financial controls, month-end close processes, cash-to-accrual concepts, and financial reporting.
- Translate financial analysis into practical recommendations that improve revenue, margins, cash position, and profitability.
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting packages, activity reports, and financial forecasts.
- Lead client conversations with confidence, presenting complex financial concepts in a clear and actionable way.
- Maintain detailed client recaps and track financial and operational progress throughout the client relationship.
- Collaborate with internal leadership and client stakeholders to ensure financial strategies are implemented effectively.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of finance and accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with financial analysis, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, gross margins, profitability, and revenue analysis.
- Ability to translate financial data into practical business recommendations.
- Experience developing KPIs, budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting packages.
- Strong Excel skills, including intermediate-level functions and formulas.
- Understanding of month-end close and cash-to-accrual accounting concepts.
- Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.
- Consulting or financial advisory experience is preferred.
