    Field Service Technician

    Sioux Falls, South Dakota | Full-time

    Learn to troubleshoot, repair, upgrade, and install fueling equipment across the upper Midwest. Petroleum experience is helpful, but it is not required. We provide on-the-job training and help you earn the certifications you need.

    What you’ll do

    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, configure, upgrade, and install equipment and software used in the petroleum industry.
    • Travel to customer locations throughout the upper Midwest and provide clear, professional service.
    • Document the work you perform and the materials you use so invoicing and inventory records stay accurate.
    • Communicate clearly with customers and your O’Day teammates.
    • Continue learning through vendor training, monthly safety training, product updates, and required certifications.

    • Your work orders are complete and accurate.

    What you’ll need

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid, insurable driver’s license and the ability to pass a background check.
    • Ability to attend and pass required job certifications.
    • Comfort with regular drive time and occasional overnight travel.
    • Availability for overtime and a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends when assigned.

    Physical and work conditions

    This is active, hands-on work performed indoors and outdoors. The role frequently requires standing, walking, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. You must be able to lift or move up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds continuously. Close visual acuity is required for inspections, small parts, measurement devices, mechanical work, machinery, and vehicle operation.
