About the Role

The Field Technician plays a critical role in helping homeowners and businesses recover after fire, smoke, water, or mold damage. This position involves hands‑on mitigation work, jobsite safety, customer communication, and teamwork with the Fire Manager and mitigation staff. We're looking for reliable, detail‑oriented professionals who can represent Clean Joe with integrity and compassion while delivering top‑quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Professionally represent Clean Joe and uphold company core values
• Work under the direction of the Fire Manager to complete mitigation tasks
• Handle damaged building materials and contents with care and professionalism
• Perform demolition, debris removal, cleaning, and restoration support tasks
• Participate in company safety programs and follow all safety protocols
• Communicate clearly with staff, customers, and coworkers
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe job sites
• Lift, carry, and move equipment or materials up to 75 lbs
• Use company‑provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
• Assist with documentation, photos, and jobsite notes when needed
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
• Participate in on‑call rotation for emergency response
• Follow all company policies, including tobacco‑free expectations during business hours.
• Arrive on time, ready to work, and able to take directions and training.
• Support the mitigation team with additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Able to lift 75 lbs and perform physically demanding work
• Trainable, coachable, and able to follow direction
• Experience in restoration, construction, or cleaning is a plus
• Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to multitask
• Willing and able to wear PPE in various environments
• Availability to work long hours, weekends and holidays.

Schedule

Field Technicians work full‑time, Monday-Friday, on an early‑morning schedule assigned by the supervisor. Start times may vary based on business needs, but a typical shift begins at 6:00 AM. Overtime may be required during busy periods. This position also includes an on‑call rotation. When scheduled, technicians must be available during evenings, weekends, or holidays to respond quickly to emergency service calls. The rotation is shared among the team to ensure balanced coverage.

Work Environment

This role is hands‑on and field‑based, working at residential and commercial properties throughout the service area. Technicians work both indoors and outdoors, often in environments affected by water, fire, mold, or other property damage. The pace is active, customer‑focused, and requires consistent communication with supervisors and team members. Protective gear and safety protocols are used regularly to ensure a safe work environment.
