Primary Responsibilities · Perform Mechanical and Electrical installation and commissioning of AMF equipment· Conduct inspections, repairs and maintenance of existing equipment· Participate in the preparation/execution of the installation work, participation includes pre-installation daily meetings as well as post-installation meetings, and feedback to internal staff through visit/inspection reporting· Provide action points on project action lists for feedback using assigned tools & templates· Submit time and expense reports by means of assigned systems· Interact with project managers, engineers and installation leads in anticipation and in preparation of work, during work and post work to ensure clear and accurate communication and continuous improvement (written if required)· Provide basic training to customer personnel on the basic maintenance and operation of AMF equipment· Provide constructive feedback to project team for resolving technical issues, quality issues or in general with ideas for improvement· Support 1st Line Support Engineer to resolve customer issues over the phone/in person as needed· Advise customers on parts, upgrades, service as needed and introduce the customer to the Customer Care additional offerings and contacts Essential Requirements· Three (3) years of field service experience in the food/bakery or packaging industry· Five (5) years of electrical and mechanical experience in a high-speed bakery or other automated process equipment environment· 75% travel required in North America and international· Operating understanding of various types of Variable Speed Drives, Sensors, Conveyors, PLC's, OIT's, etc· Required: Proficiency with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View Studio, FactoryTalk Optix· Preferred: Experience with legacy Allen-Bradley platforms, including SLC 500 controllers, RSLogix 500, and PanelBuilder, is a plus. Experience with Siemens TIA Portal for S7 PLCs is also a plus· Programming capabilities are required, ability to understand the programmable logic control process and make changes as directed· Proficiency and troubleshooting ability in power transmission parts (bearings, motors, reducers, belts, pulleys), pneumatics (air cylinders, valves), hydraulics, and electrical circuits· Basic machine shop and fabricating skills to make modifications to parts in the field, cut & drill various materials, dismantle, repair, and reassemble mechanical devices· Proper written and verbal communication skills required to interact professionally with teammates and customers Working Conditions:· Extensive travel every week· In general, trips will average 5 to 6 days however some installations may require technicians to be away for 2 to 3 weeks at a time· Every effort is made to allow technicians to come home for a short break if installations go beyond 2 weeks.

Distance and practicality of travel may impact this joint decision.· Typical days at customer sites will last from 8 to 12 hours with occasional 24-hour day/ night shift patterns· Commercial Wholesale bakeries can be loud, hot, and stressful at times · The role requires significant physical activity, including bending, crawling, and moving as required to install and maintain equipment· Technicians are required to supply and maintain their own personal tools, tool bag and diagnostic equipment
