About the Opportunity

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Field Service Technician for a manufacturing company serving the Superior, WI area. In this role, you’ll provide expert technical support, troubleshoot hydraulic heavy equipment, and deliver high-quality service directly at customer sites. What You’ll Do as a Field Service Technician:

Travel to customer and dealer sites to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment
Serve as the primary technical representative, supporting customers and internal teams
Interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics and perform mechanical, hydraulic, and light welding repairs
Deliver training to customers and service personnel (both classroom and hands-on)
Document service activities, maintain accurate reports, and communicate updates
Coordinate travel logistics and follow up to ensure issues are fully resolved
Assist sales teams with product support and application recommendations

What You Need to Bring to the Field Service Technician Role:

Associate’s degree, hydraulic certification, or 5+ years of relevant experience
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with heavy equipment and attachments
Ability to travel extensively (up to 80%, including domestic and occasional international travel)
Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and independent problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
Experience using diagnostic tools (multimeters, pressure gauges, flow meters)
Strong communication skills with the ability to train others
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer use
Ability to perform light welding in the field
Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
