OVERVIEW

Our client, a leading provider of electrical power services, is seeking a Field Service Manager to lead and grow their Testing Department. This individual will be responsible for driving operational performance, managing field teams, and ensuring high-quality service delivery across projects.

This is a leadership role ideal for someone with a strong technical background in electrical testing who is ready to take ownership of team development, safety, and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Operations & Leadership

  • Oversee daily operations of the Testing Department
  • Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors and field technicians (levels 1–4)
  • Drive productivity, utilization, and overall team performance
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, HR, and Finance

Technical Oversight

  • Provide guidance on electrical testing procedures and standards
  • Support field teams, customers, and internal stakeholders with technical expertise
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations

Training & Development

  • Lead onboarding, training, and ongoing development of technical staff
  • Mentor team members toward certifications and career growth
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide continuous feedback

Scheduling & Resource Management

  • Optimize scheduling and workforce utilization
  • Ensure proper allocation and maintenance of tools and equipment
  • Track technician skillsets and align resources accordingly

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Review and approve reports and testing documentation
  • Maintain high standards for accuracy and timeliness
  • Identify areas for operational improvement and implement solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

  • NETA Level III certification (or higher) strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical testing or power systems
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and procedures

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer systems

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
