HR Field Recruiter (Temporary)
Location: Spring, Texas

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven HR Field Recruiter to support high-volume hiring efforts for refinery turnarounds, shutdowns, and outage projects. This temporary position plays a critical role in ensuring projects are fully staffed with qualified, safety-focused craft professionals within aggressive timelines.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at building talent pipelines, and can effectively balance urgency, quality, compliance, and workforce planning. This is an excellent opportunity for a recruiter with industrial, construction, refinery, or skilled trades recruiting experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle, high-volume recruiting for refinery turnaround and outage positions, including skilled craft and supervisory personnel.
  • Partner with field operations and HR teams to understand project scopes, staffing forecasts, workforce requirements, and critical hiring timelines.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines of qualified craft professionals for upcoming projects.
  • Source, screen, interview, and qualify candidates based on experience, certifications, safety requirements, and client expectations.
  • Coordinate pre-employment and mobilization activities, including:
    • Drug and alcohol testing
    • Background screenings
    • Site onboarding and badging
    • Verification of certifications and credentials
    • Scheduling and deployment logistics
  • Monitor staffing progress and headcount fulfillment, providing real-time updates to leadership.
  • Support workforce redeployment efforts following project completion to retain top-performing personnel.
  • Maintain accurate candidate, recruiting, and workforce data within applicant tracking and workforce management systems.
  • Ensure recruiting activities remain compliant with company policies, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
Qualifications Required
  • 3+ years of recruiting experience in industrial staffing, skilled trades, construction, refinery turnarounds, or similar environments.
  • Proven success managing high-volume recruiting initiatives under tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of refinery operations, outage staffing, and turnaround workforce requirements.
  • Experience verifying and managing industry-required certifications and credentials.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of urgency while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Microsoft Excel, and workforce planning tools.
Preferred
  • Experience recruiting for refinery turnaround personnel, including craft, foremen, and QA/QC roles.
  • Familiarity with:
    • TWIC Cards
    • OSHA Training Requirements
    • NCCER Certifications
    • Client-specific safety and site access requirements
Working Conditions
  • Office-based environment with a hybrid schedule.
  • Minimum of three days per week in the office, with additional in-person attendance required for key meetings, hiring events, and project support activities as needed.
