Position Title: TOCNET Field Service Representative (FSR)

    Summary

The Field Service Representative (FSR) is a versatile technical specialist responsible for the on-site integration, sustainment, and optimization of the TOCNET Unified Voice Management System (UVMS). While primarily supporting Army modernization initiatives, this role serves as a general-purpose technical resource supporting all branches of the military in Joint operations. This position bridges the gap between complex digital networking and tactical operations, ensuring resilient voice-to-data connectivity across Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) cells, high-mobility maneuver platforms, and maritime/aviation interfaces.

    What You''ll Do

    • Systems Integration & Technical Support: Lead physical and logical integration of TOCNET UVMS hardware into modernized command architectures (Army NGC2, Marine Corps GBAD, Navy/Aviation interfaces). Configure and maintain UVMS as a central RoIP gateway bridging disparate networks (TSM-X, WRW, SINCGARS, Link-16) to ensure a Unified Common Operational Picture (COP).
    • Cross-Platform Optimization: Support technical installs and troubleshooting across mobile platforms including AMPV, M-SHORAD, Stryker, and amphibious/robotic combat vehicles. Ensure voice-to-data translation between service fires and maneuver assets to support sensor-to-shooter closed-loop operations.
    • Field Operations & Testing: Provide on-site technical assistance during high-visibility Joint ("Purple") exercises (e.g., Project Convergence) and live-fire events. Diagnose and resolve On-the-Move (OTM) communication bottlenecks in contested environments, and support Follow-on User Testing (FUT) and Government Acceptance Testing (GAT).
    • Training & Mentorship: Deliver over-the-shoulder (OTS) training and formal technical instruction to Army (14, 25, 19-series), Marine Corps, and Joint service crews. Act as a Tier 2/3 SME utilizing remote diagnostics and packet-analysis tools to resolve complex system failures.

    What You''ll Bring

    • Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in tactical communications, field service engineering, or systems integration within a military context.
    • Technical Proficiency: Strong foundational knowledge of Tactical IP Networking, Radio over IP (RoIP) protocols, and tactical radio waveforms (LOS and BLOS).
    • Hardware Familiarity: Previous experience with or exposure to TOCNET UVMS or similar multi-domain voice/data bridging systems.
    • Security Clearance: Active Secret Security Clearance required.
    • Core Competencies: Ability to operate independently in austere environments, rapidly solve analytical networking/hardware problems under tactical conditions, and communicate complex engineering concepts to tactical operators.

    How to Stand Out

    • Prior military background in technical or combat arms MOS (e.g., Army 14G/14E, 25-series, 19-series; USMC 06xx/72xx).
    • Direct experience operating within an IBCS EOC, NGC2 environment, or Joint command post.
    • Solid understanding of open architecture standards, including Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), CMOSS/VICTORY, or Open Mission Systems (OMS).
