Job Title: Federal Tax Planning Associate

Location: Hybrid (up to 2 days WFH per week)

Compensation Range: $205,000 – $225,000 / year (Dependent on Experience) + Bonus

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on complex federal tax planning, structuring, and transactional tax matters.

  • Work closely with partners and senior attorneys across practice groups to develop tax-efficient strategies.

  • Draft and review tax opinions, transactional documents, and regulatory filings.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of federal tax planning experience in a law firm or corporate setting.

  • Active TX state bar license in good standing.

  • Strong legal drafting, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent academic credentials.

Compensation, Hours & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $205,000 to $225,000 per year.

  • Bonus Program: Guaranteed bonus at 2,000 billable hours, with tiered bonuses available for lower hour thresholds.

  • Partnership Track: 1,750 billable hours required to receive credit toward partnership progression.

  • Workplace Flexibility: Hybrid work schedule allowing up to 2 days WFH per week.
