Overview:
Our Family Office group provides high net worth individuals and their related family entities financial management and accounting services customized to fit their needs and objectives.
Our services range from bill payment, cash flow and expense monitoring, financial reporting, analysis, and various other financial and administrative projects. We are looking for an energetic and resourceful professional; someone who enjoys solving problems and gets energized working on multiple engagements, including handling special client requests. You must be great with details, very organized, a self-starter, and adaptable as the needs of our clients change.
The Family Office Senior Associate plays a critical role in delivering high-quality financial and operational services to ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, and related entities. This role bridges execution and leadership—owning complex client deliverables, exercising sound judgment, and actively developing associates and assistants.

Responsibilities:
Client Service & Technical Execution
- Prepare and review client financial deliverables including balance sheets, cash flow statements, bank reconciliations, and customized reports.
- Identify, analyze, and explain financial fluctuations, issues, and trends to managers, directors, and partners.
- Supervise cash management activities and review account activity for accuracy and unusual items.
- Approve bills and disbursements with appropriate investigation and follow-up.
Judgment, Ownership & Problem Solving
- Demonstrate ownership by understanding the purpose behind the work and identifying root causes of issues.
- Anticipate client and engagement needs and proactively surface risks or issues.
- Exercise sound judgment, knowing when to independently resolve matters versus escalate.
Team Leadership & Development
- Review work of associates and assistants with a focus on improving quality, efficiency, and understanding.
- Provide clear, timely, and constructive feedback focused on development.
- Manage open items, timelines, and priorities across engagements.
Process Improvement & Department Contribution
- Participate in department initiatives including process improvements, system implementations, and training programs.
- Support effective use of family office systems and tools (e.g., accounting, bill pay, expense, and reporting platforms).
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in a private family office, private client accounting services, family office services within public accounting, or similar environment.
- CPA license required.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, cash activity, and accounting fundamentals.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing others’ work and managing multiple engagements.
- Strong judgment, accountability, and follow-through.
- Ability to coach and develop others with clarity and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills with both internal teams and clients.
- Detail-oriented while able to think holistically and strategically.
- Demonstrated use, intermediate experience with and knowledge of Sage Intacct, Bill.com, and QuickBooks online is preferred.
The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000 per year. The pay range reflects the San Francisco Bay Area. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
