Facilities Technician

The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintenance on general organizational equipment not requiring a licensed or certified technician. Responsible for repairs and maintenance of facilities at organizational level.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• At least 2 years experience in maintenance and or construction experience required.
• Valid Florida Driver License and the ability to travel to various locations to perform duties required. A DMV check will be performed and will be a factor in the hiring process.

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Performs first-echelon maintenance on specific organizational equipment, i.e.: air

conditioners, generators, etc.

• Performs scheduled maintenance as required on organization equipment
• Performs organization repairs on facilities, which include, but are not limited to, carpentry

and replacing defective materials

• Completes any maintenance worksheet, and reports, other maintenance actions as required
• Assists in the maintenance of the facilities to maintain a high state of readiness
• Reports any mechanical defects or failures to the Maintenance Technician - Lead

immediately (within the hour)

• Assists the site cleanliness as required including environmental services
• Adheres to TJC policies and procedures as it pertains to maintenance and the organization
• Supports the goals and mission of MCR Health
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Knowledge of Modern (ideally within the past 5 years) principles, practices, methods,

materials, and equipment used in assignment

• Knowledge of the type of custodial supplies used in various types of commercial buildings

and facilities

• Knowledge of, and ability to properly apply codes, rules, regulations, and procedures about

area(s) of responsibility

• Ability to understand and follow MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and their application in

the work locations

• Ability to read and interpret basic schematic diagrams
• Must be able to complete job competency training
• Must be competent in OSHA construction safety standards
• Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates the ability to work well with colleagues, clients, and

external organizations

• Promote Culture of Safety: Demonstrates commitment to personal responsibility and value

for safety; communicates safety concerns; uses and promotes safe behaviors based on

training and lessons learned
