Description

Jackson State University, an NCAA Division I (FCS) member of the NCAA and Southwestern Athletic Conference and one of the leading institutions of higher education in the region is accepting applications for the position of Facilities and Operations Assistant.

Examples of Duties

Specific duties and responsibilities associated with this position shall include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in the coordination of day-to-day sports activities and the maintenance of sports facilities.
• Facilitate game day operations.
• Participate in all game day equipment preparations and setup and takedown for all athletics events.
• Facilitate athletics venues in preparation for sporting events and contests, including laying out, line-marking, watering, dragging, dressing, reconditioning, and grooming of athletics fields, areas, and facilities.
• Manage the jumbotron and other LED screens at athletics facilities during athletic events.
• Review and approve all graphics that go on the jumbotron and other LED screens at athletics facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Typical Qualifications

Bachelors degree required. Possess knowledge of athletics, equipment, supplies, and/or uniform repair.
