Position Summary
The server is responsible for providing excellent guest service by taking food and beverage orders, serving food, and ensuring guests have a positive dining experience. Servers work closely with kitchen staff and other team members to deliver efficient and accurate service in a fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform all duties toward the goal of providing excellent guest service in an efficient manner.
- Follow all policies, procedures and service standards.
- Be knowledgeable of all food and beverage items.
- Greet guests promptly and answer any guest menu questions and make recommendations.
- Accurately record and enter all food and beverage items in the POS system.
- Serve food and drinks in a timely manner.
- Assist with prebussing, clearing, and resetting tables.
- Process payments and handle cash or credit card transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas and tables.
- Complete all opening,running, and closing assigned sidework tasks.
- Communicate guest requests to kitchen staff.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and courteously. Involve management when appropriate.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of serving experience in a full service restaurant environment.
- Basic food and beverage knowledge.
- Experience in high-volume environments.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to organize and prioritize under pressure while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and management..
Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, approximately 8 hours.
- Must be able to walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time.
- Must possess or be able to obtain Work Card, SNHD Health Card, and Alcohol Awareness Card.
