We are looking for applicants who are friendly, enthusiastic, and who genuinely enjoy preparing fresh, delicious food for our guests. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience as a grill cook or short order cook with good knife.

Responsibilities include:

• setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, portioning meat, preparing sauces)
• preparing menu items consistent with JGC standards of quality, quantity, and presentation
• keeping a clean work station and clean kitchen
• rotate and stock inventory appropriately
• comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

The ideal candidate understands what it means to work with a small team and will:

• be on time for your shift
• learn the menu to meet cafe standards
• work efficiently and effectively during a rush
• work on the line as a team with other line cooks
• dress and act professionally
• use slow and down times to prepare for the next service
