Title: Executive Secretary/Administrative Assistant
Duration: 2 years
Location: Albany NY 12257
Shift Timings:Mon-Fri (9am-5pm)
Pay: USD 22/hr-USD 24/hr

Position summary:

The role involves reviewing and processing External Appeal applications in accordance with established protocols and regulatory guidelines. The candidate will evaluate eligibility, maintain accurate electronic case files, and communicate professionally with consumers, providers, and insurers through written and verbal correspondence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate External Appeal applications for eligibility based on established protocols.
  • Screen and review requests for External Appeal in compliance with organizational procedures.
  • Request additional documentation and information from consumers, providers, insurers, and other external parties.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding the appeal process through written and verbal communication.
  • Serve as a liaison between consumers, providers, insurers, and internal departments for administrative processes.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date electronic case files.
  • Manage multiple complex and time-sensitive cases simultaneously.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience processing documents and corresponding with outside entities.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow written procedures and protocols.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive and complex files simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong prioritization abilities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including: Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word.
Preferred Qualification:
  • Previous experience handling appeals, case management, healthcare administration, insurance, or regulatory documentation.
  • Experience maintaining electronic case management systems or databases.
  • Familiarity with administrative processes involving consumers, providers, and insurers.
