JOB SUMMARY
The Executive Director of Maintenance and Auxiliary Services provides overall department strategy and management to ensure Facilities Engineering goals and objectives are met.
Implements engineering maintenance, auxiliary services, and repair programs.
Responsible for administration and management of personnel who carry out engineering, auxiliary services, and maintenance functions.
Coordinates and directs project consultants, contractors, and activities.
Maintains regulatory compliance with City of Houston, Harris County, Houston Fire Department and maintenance schedules, records and documentation while assisting in capital project planning.

Responsible for the design, execution, efficiency, and effectiveness of a system of internal controls, which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets, are safeguarded; financial information is reliable and compliant with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Manages Talent Engagement activities for direct reports in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, development, mentoring, counseling, and performance evaluations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide a complete program of facilities equipment and facilities maintenance to preserve capital assets, reduce down-time and operating costs while ensuring safe operations for students, faculty, and staff.
Maintain, document and coordinate schedules and maintenance records, projects, personnel, and activities.
Oversee administration of external service contracts with equipment vendors and service providers.
Interface with Executive Leadership, Campus C-teams, internal clients, vendors, contractors, and consultants, facilitating engineering and maintenance operations.
Oversee the mail and distribution process across the HCC System with a team of experienced personnel.
Oversee the operation of conference services for the District office with a team of experienced personnel.
Manage and participate in the planning and administration of the department budget.

Working Conditions
General Office.
