    We are seeking ahighlyorganizedandenthusiasticPerDiemEventsCoordinator to support the planning, coordination, andexecutionofspecialeventsandcommunityengagementactivitiesforOrlandoHealthJewettOrthopedicInstitute.Theidealcandidatewillhavestrongcommunicationandorganizationalskills,enjoyworkingwithavarietyofstakeholders,andthriveinafast-pacedenvironment.Thisroleprovidesflexiblesupportforevents,programs,andoutreachinitiativesthatpromotetheinstitute'smissionandenhancetheexperienceofpatients,teammembers,andthecommunity.

     

     

    Education/Training

    • Associate’s degree in a marketing, management, communications, data analysis or related field.
      • Two (2) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Associate degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section).

    Experience

    • Two (2) years of organizational management experience required, including involvement in special events. Familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint applications.
      • A Bachelor degree in a related field may substitute for up to two (2) years of the required experience.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Gathers information, materials and resources needed to implement key signature events, other events, and education activities.
    • Develops and monitors action plans and timelines for implementation, volunteer recruitment and management, sponsor solicitation, event reporting, media relations, and using this information to make discretionary decisions about event planning.
    • Implements specific event strategies directed toward targeted donors, potential donors, and other key constituencies.
    • Collaborates with other events team members and other adjacent team members to coordinate components of large and small events.
    • Demonstrates strong project management skills while timely managing multiple priorities.
    • Coordinates other projects including mailings, distribution, scheduling, filing, copying, and ordering supplies and phone calls as needed.
    • Requires flexibility to provide special event direction on weekends and holidays.
    • Coordinates and organizes assigned responsibilities to confidential data.
    • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
    • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
