- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in West Virginia
- Strong writing, research, and communication skills, especially with clients who may be anxious or unfamiliar with legal planning
- Genuine interest in estate planning, probate, and related areas; prior experience in these fields is preferred but not required
- Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives, and review these documents with clients to ensure they reflect their wishes
- Advise clients on estate planning strategies to help them achieve their goals and provide for loved ones and charitable causes
- Coordinate, as needed, with financial advisors, insurance agents, and other professionals to implement comprehensive plans
- Maintain organized client files and manage matters from initial plan design through signing and follow‑up
