Equipment Operator

Nucor Trademark Metals Recycling LLC is hiring an Equipment Operator - Night Shift (Mondays-Fridays, 5 pm-1 am) in Tampa, FL. This role is responsible for operating heavy equipment such as cranes and loaders to safely move scrap materials throughout the yard in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have at least 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience in manufacturing or construction, physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs while working in extreme weather conditions, and strong mechanical and safety aptitude.

Key Job Duties

• Safely operate heavy and light equipment (cranes, loaders, forklifts, skid steers) to load, move, and clear scrap material, trucks, and conveyor feeds.
• Perform daily equipment inspections, maintain job site cleanliness, and execute general labor tasks (sweeping, shoveling) as needed.
• Maintain clear radio communication with teammates for production and safety, participate in safety programs, and cross-train across various roles.
