General Description of the Position
THIS IS A 100% GRANT FUNDED POSITION.
The EPSCoR Finance and Program Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative leadership, financial oversight, and operational coordination for all finance-related and associated office functions supporting the CIBER Center within Delaware State University's College of Agriculture, Science and Technology. This role is responsible for executing highly complex tasks that support the EPSCoR program's financial management as well as its broader research and educational activities. The Coordinator collaborates closely with the College Finance Team, the Office of Sponsored Programs, and the Restricted Funds Accounting Office (RFA) to ensure adherence to institutional policies, regulatory requirements, and established timelines. The position also serves as a liaison to RFA for troubleshooting and technical support as needed. Working in partnership with the Project Director, the Associate Dean of Cooperative Extension and Applied Research, and the CIBER Center team, the Coordinator supports key operational priorities and programmatic initiatives. This position exercises a high degree of initiative, independent judgment, and discretion, maintaining strict confidentiality in handling sensitive financial and programmatic information. Responsibilities include developing and monitoring detailed financial reports in alignment with institutional policies and EPSCoR program requirements. The Coordinator also supports the administration of mini-grants and student funding by assisting with budget development, review, and compliance for proposal submissions and awarded projects. In addition, the Coordinator provides leadership and support to the Senior Administrative Assistant in managing daily financial operations, including invoice processing, procurement activities, preparation of financial documentation, vendor payments, and expenses related to meetings, workshops, and program events. This is a non-tenured, professional staff position.

Qualification Standards
Education: Ph.D. degree with minimum of 2 years transferrable program/functional experiences in Biological, Life, Environmental, Natural Resources, Environmental Chemistry disciplines.
