Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Geology, Hydrology, Environmental Science or related field. Two years of professional experience in an environmental regulatory agency or two years of professional administrative experience involving environmental policies or issues to include grants administration, report development, project management, procedure development, education or enforcement are required. Must possess a Driver license.
Recruitment Notes
This position is responsible of ensuring compliance with the environmental Code for initial development orders throughout Miami-Dade County. The position includes technical review for matters related to availability and feasibility to connect to public water and sewers and wellfield protection matters. Additionally, this position ensures that critical DERM and RER reviews are included in the evaluation of initial and intermediate development orders and entails the review of technical plans and certain legal documents.
This position requires constant coordination with staff from DERM, RER and other County departments as well as with developers, attorneys, municipal government agents and the public.
