Environmental Operations Manager - Environmental Services - Base Salary to 190k/year - Cleveland, OH

• Our client, an organization providing environmental and industrial services, is seeking an Environmental Operations Manager to oversee operational performance, financial management, and regulatory compliance across assigned facilities. This position is responsible for managing operational teams, controlling costs, maintaining compliance standards, and supporting consistent performance across multiple locations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations and performance across assigned facilities.
• Provide operational direction and management support to site leadership teams.
• Manage profit and loss (P&L), operating budgets, expenses, and financial performance.
• Establish and monitor operational performance metrics, productivity, cost controls, and equipment utilization.
• Ensure operations comply with applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Review operational reports and coordinate improvements involving staffing, equipment, maintenance, and facility operations.
• Oversee resource allocation, operational planning, and coordination of facility activities.
• Maintain operational safety procedures, environmental compliance practices, and performance standards.
• Coordinate with internal departments, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders regarding operational matters.
• Manage employee training, performance evaluations, workforce planning, and management development.
• Ensure required operational and regulatory records are maintained.
• Coordinate responses to operational emergencies and regulatory matters as needed.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of landfill experience or equivalent waste industry experience.
• Previous operations management experience within the waste management or environmental services industry.
• Experience managing profit and loss (P&L), operating budgets, expenses, and operational performance metrics.
• Experience supervising operational managers and facility leadership teams.
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience interpreting site grading, elevations, and survey measurements.
• Ability to obtain applicable regulatory certifications required for the position.
• Experience managing employee performance, training, and operational staffing.
• Experience communicating operational and regulatory information to external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and community representatives.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned region and meet applicable company driving requirements.
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to operational emergencies as needed.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 145k - 190k/year range, Annual Performance Bonus, Comprehensive Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits, Retirement Plan with Company Match, Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays.
