Description

Our client, a Commerical Banking company, is looking for a Entry Test Analyst for their Toronto, ON/ Hybrid location.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Participating in Quality Assurance for workstreams within the Concorde Program, a Client strategic program that will drive operational efficiency and productivity improvement.
  • The program has high impact and high complexity spanning multiple lines of business and technology groups.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and exceptional test cases creation, execution, raising -retesting defects during SIT, UAT and E2E QA for the Program.
  • Program Resources supports program-related initiatives and consists of approximately 15 individuals within the same department.
  • The team works closely with multiple external vendors as well as Client employees.
  • Who Will the Candidate Be Working with on a Daily Basis? Supriya (HM) and working closely with test leads.
  • Review requirements and develop detailed test scenarios and test cases during UAT, E2E Test Phases
  • Execute functional, integration, and regression testing
  • Log, track, and retest defects
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to validate expected outcomes
  • Provide testing status updates and support release activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless end-to-end testing and successful project delivery
  • Create and execute test cases with quality
  • Identify defects early and thoroughly through detailed analysis, risk-based testing, and strong attention to functional, integration, and regression impacts
  • Use sound judgment to assess risk by prioritizing critical defects, understanding downstream impacts
  • Communicate clearly and proactively by providing transparent updates on testing status, defect trends, risks, and readiness to stakeholders at all levels
  • Support delivery in fast-paced environments by managing competing priorities, adapting to change, and maintaining quality under tight timelines
 
Requirements:
  • Line of business:  Enterprise programs
  • How many years of experience: 3+ years
  • We are seeking an experienced QA Test Analyst to join our team.
  • This role requires excellent Attention to details
  • 3+ years of QA experience supporting technology projects.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and testing best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with functional, integration, and regression testing, including defect management.
  • Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
  • Proficiency with HP ALM and Jira.
  • Experience with test automation and software process improvement.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in fast-paced environment
  • API, UI automation scripting working knowledge experience
  • SQL knowledge working knowledge experience
  • AI Tools-LLM, Generative AI working knowledge experience
  • Knowledge of Cheque Processing (E.g. Day 1, Day 2, RDC)
  • Retail banking experience
  • Client experience
  • Knowledge of automation tool , AI Utilization for Testing Deliverables
  • Drive continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to testing processes, tools, automation opportunities, and quality standards
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in QA roles, preferably within large-scale or high-visibility projects
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and SDLC
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience in banking  specifically Client technology  would be asset
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing project needs
  • Experience in software development testing, automation, and software process improvement
  • Good level understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
  • Experience working in waterfall and agile teams in a QA function.  Hands on experience working with HP ALM and Jira.
  • Excellent communication skills to address issues and conflicts within quality assurance testing cycle
