Description
Passport Automotive Group is hiring an Entry-Level Staff Accountant in Suitland, MD. This role provides an opportunity for a recent accounting graduate to jumpstart their career in a high-volume retail automotive environment while learning key dealership accounting workflows. The top requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, and proficiency in Excel.

Job Responsibilities
Key Job Duties
- Support daily accounting operations, handle AP/AR, manage bank deposits, and complete account reconciliations.
- Assist with schedule maintenance, prepare monthly financial statements, and review deal jackets for accuracy and compliance.
- Partner with the Controller and Office Manager to maintain accurate records for inventory, flooring, and manufacturer statements.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a solid foundation in basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with dealership DMS software (e.g., CDK, Reynolds, Dealertrack) is preferred.
- Excellent detail orientation, organizational abilities, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail workplace.
