Entry Level Legal Assistant

A prestigious Century City law firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented entry-level legal assistant to join its Plaintiff Asbestos litigation team. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree, some legal or office experience, and the ability to manage court filings, discovery, and case-related correspondence in a fast-paced environment.

Key Details

• Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (½ hour unpaid lunch)
• Initial training period: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch
• Duration: Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities

• Handle court filings, including e-filing and physical filings when required
• Assist with discovery preparation and organizations
• Draft, proof, and send case-related correspondence
• Maintain and organize case files and calendars
• Support attorneys with case management tasks and trial preparation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Ideally 3-6 months or more of relevant legal or office experience (no more than 3-5 years)
• Ideally some e-Discovery experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with legal software a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill
