Job Title: Entry Level Laboratory Technician - First Shift

Job Description

Join a dynamic team focused on creating calibration materials used in diagnostic medical equipment for hospitals and clinics. This role is pivotal in ensuring the precision and reliability of medical diagnostics.

Responsibilities

  • Apply analytical skills and scientific methods to perform daily tasks including pipetting and operating DXI800 and DXI19000 instruments.
  • Set-up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot reagent components and instruments.
  • Conduct testing on solutions, including measurements of pH, conductivity, and density, to ensure adherence to production and process specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and other relevant regulatory requirements.

Essential Skills

  • Associates Degree or Bachelor"s degree in a science-related field.
  • At least 3 months of laboratory experience, which can include academic experience.
  • Ability to articulate previous experience following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Proven ability to work independently, as verified by references.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to seek out answers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with pipetting.
  • Experience working in a GMP environment.

Work Environment

This position is available on the first shift, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The role is set in a regulated manufacturing and production environment, involving 70% lab work, such as making buffers and prepping materials, and 30% focused on non-conformances, CAPAs, scheduling, and inventory management. The main lab is chemistry-based, requiring adherence to SOPs for the creation of calibrators. The work involves both hands-on lab tasks and computer-based data analysis to ensure specifications are met. The work is highly independent, set in a large, collaborative laboratory space. The company is located on a scenic campus with walking trails and is conveniently accessible from central Chaska, providing a pleasant and engaging work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chaska, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.58 - $25.58/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
