Entry-Level Insurance Operations Assistant Career Path to Sales & Service

Quinez Agency is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented person who wants to start a career in the insurance industry.

No prior insurance experience is required. We will train the right person to help prepare insurance quotes, organize client information, and support our sales team.

This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who wants more than a basic data-entry job. As you learn the business, demonstrate reliability, and develop your skills, you may have opportunities to advance into insurance quoting, customer service, sales development, or an insurance sales producer role.

Career Growth Path:

Entry-Level Operations Assistant Insurance Quoter Customer Service Representative or Sales Development Representative Licensed Insurance Sales Producer.

Advancement is based on performance, demonstrated ability, business needs, and any required licensing. This position does not require the employee to sell insurance or perform licensed activities unless properly licensed and authorized.

Salary Range: $10.00 - $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Enter customer and risk information accurately into agency and carrier systems.
• Organize applications and prepare information for insurance quotes.
• Check submissions for missing information and follow up with the team.
• Track quote status and help keep records organized.
• Support producers with basic administrative and quoting tasks.
• Learn personal and commercial insurance products through structured training.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow agency procedures.
• Develop toward more advanced responsibilities as skills and performance improve.

• No prior insurance experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills.
• Reliable, organized, and willing to learn.
• Good communication and professional phone etiquette.
• Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and accept coaching.
• Comfortable learning new software and working with spreadsheets.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to work in the Norman office.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, not required.
