Job Description - Enterprise Architect
Position Title: Enterprise Architect Positions Available: 1 Employment Type: Temp 2+ years Location: Hybrid / Remote
Pay Rate: $70 - $80/hr
Position Overview
The Enterprise Architect will serve as a senior technical leader responsible for defining, governing, and guiding enterprise-wide architecture standards and modernization initiatives. This role will work across multiple systems, integrations, and cloud environments to design scalable, secure, and modern solutions aligned with organizational strategy. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in .NET Core, cloud-native architectures, microservices, and enterprise integration frameworks.
Mandatory Qualifications (MQ)
Candidates must meet all mandatory requirements:
A minimum of five (5) years applying Enterprise Architecture principles, with at least three (3) years in a lead capacity.
Eight (8) years minimum experience in IT solution or enterprise architecture, including responsibility for architectural governance across multiple systems or integrations.
Five (5) years of experience designing and implementing cloud-native applications using:
.NET Core (6.0 or higher)
RESTful APIs
Microservices architecture
Three (3) years of experience designing or implementing systems hosted in Azure or AWS, including:
Security
Identity management
Networking
Demonstrated experience defining or implementing:
Kubernetes container orchestration
CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent)
Three (3) years of experience integrating enterprise applications using:
APIs
Event-driven architecture
Message queues
Three (3) years developing or maintaining enterprise architecture artifacts, including:
System Architecture Documents
Interface Control Documents
Data Flow Diagrams
System Security Plans
Possession of a Bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field.
Additional qualifying experience may substitute education year-for-year.
Desirable Qualifications (DQ)

Ten (10) years total enterprise or solution architecture experience.
Experience modernizing legacy systems into .NET Core microservices or hybrid cloud environments.
Hands-on experience with:

NIST 800-53 security controls
Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA)
Experience designing High Availability (HA) or Disaster Recovery (DR) environments.

Key Responsibilities
Lead enterprise architecture initiatives supporting modernization, integration, and cloud adoption.
Develop architectural roadmaps, patterns, and standards to guide technical decisions across teams.
Oversee solution design for large-scale, multi-system environments.
Provide leadership in establishing cloud-native architectures, microservices, and modernization frameworks.
Ensure secure design practices aligned with Zero Trust and NIST guidelines.
