Engineering Technician III

LOCATION: Huntsville, AL

JOB STATUS: Full-time

CLEARANCE: Secret

TRAVEL: As Needed

SALARY: $45-$65K

 

 

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician III located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. Astrion has worked extensively with Redstone Arsenal where it has earned a reputation for on-time delivery of high-quality products tailored to the needs of its clients.  

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS  

 

  • 5 years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or 2 years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 3 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements:
  • Instrumentation – Experience must include successful completion of sixteen (16) weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques and a minimum of 2 years of experience in electronics/instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Exceptional customer relationship skills.

 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Support Test Engineers with various types of testing to include:
  • Fabricating/Machining parts for test support, Infrared Data Collection, UAS/CUAS, Target Vehicle Operations, Aircraft Survivability Equipment, Sensors, lasers, radar, Force Protection Systems, Integrated Base Defense.
  • Assist with Instrumentation during Test Set-up, Test Execution, and Test Tear-down.
  • Help develop requirements, procedures, and unique test methods.
  • Support equipment maintenance and inventory.
