    Test Engineering Technician who will support the manual and automated testing of space hardware. Testing may be performed at the circuit card, assembly, sub-system and/or space vehicle level. Experience handling sensitive hardware, very strong computer skills and the ability to strictly adhere to documented procedures is a must. Prior experience with RF, optical and/or digital technology is a must.

    Schedule:
    1st shift on 980-Reg (6am to 3: 30pm)

    Essential Functions:
    Transport test equipment, fixtures, and cables to required testing locations.
    Setup tests per written documentation and engineering direction.
    Verify all test equipment is in calibration.
    Verify all licensed test software is not expired.
    Assemble custom or COTS equipment/fixtures.
    Performs test and records required information.
    Document failures and reports any anomalies to key stakeholders.
    Executing automated software using LabVIEW and/or TestStand GUIs.
    Troubleshooting failed assemblies with engineering oversight.
    Operate RF, optical and/or digital test equipment including network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, noise figure analyzers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, OTDRs, OBRs, lasers, SOAs, BERT, DMMs and power supplies.

    Qualifications:
    Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
    Active Secret Clearance required

    Preferred Additional Skills:
    Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills.
    Experience handling very sensitive and fragile hardware, including mating and de-mating high density connectors, RF and optical connections.
    Experience with qualification testing, including vibration, thermal and thermal vacuum testing.
    Willing to work overtime as requested.
