Job Overview:
Pay Range: $30hr - $32hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Support of Space Vehicle satellite manufacturing.
- Individual contributor responsibilities with limited supervision.
- Following engineering drawings and defined manufacturing processes.
- Navigating and working to paperless work instructions (MES).
- Flexibility to work overtime/nights/weekends and alternate shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment.
- Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
- Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
- Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
- Prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
- Conducts production floor work, including some bench work and moving between buildings using test systems.
- Uses overhead rigging.
Nice to Have:
- Experience using torque driver and power supply.
- Experience with small hand tools.
- Experience in mixing and applying adhesives.
Skills:
- Cable and harness installation, routing and cable management.
- Mechanical assembly and test of hardware including ESD sensitive hardware.
- Hardware integration.
- Rigging/overhead crane operation.
- Preparation for and conducting system level hardware testing.
- Performing system level alignments to meet system requirements.
- Field support for launch vehicle integration.
- Ability to move equipment weighing 45 pounds or less.
- Manual dexterity, motor skills and situational awareness to handle and manufacture space hardware.
- Basic computer skills.
