    Description

    Tesla is looking for a dedicated Engineering Process Technician to join the manufacturing operations team in a fast-paced environment. This role involves setting up, operating, and adjusting high-volume production equipment while supporting process development engineers in creating innovative processes, equipment, and tooling. The position plays a critical role in accelerating Tesla's mission to drive the world's transition to sustainable abundance through collaboration and technical expertise.

    • Perform equipment setup, operation, adjustments, and minor preventative maintenance to meet safety, quality, and efficiency standardsIdentify issues and propose solutions to troubleshoot problems during regular production and engineering builds
    • Develop standardized operating procedures for equipment and new processes
    • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to establish test methods for process enhancements
    • Conduct analytical tests, measure, and record data using specified tools and software
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for safety, quality, output, and tool uptime
    • Inspect and test finished products during and after production and engineering builds
    • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or equivalent experience
    • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, engineering drawings and utilization of data collection, statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE) in a high volume automated production environment
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
    • Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills
    • Capability to adapt to frequent changes in direction and thrive in a dynamic work environment
    • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
    • Experience in identifying improvement opportunities and leading small problem-solving projects
