JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer

PAY RATE: $53.65/hour

• Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

• Shift: 2nd shift, Tuesday to Friday, 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM (4/10 schedule).

Summary: 

• Designs manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.

• Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.

• Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for fabrication of tools and equipment.

• Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.

• May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.

• Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency and initiates corrective action for problems and deficiencies.

• Develops manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.

• Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

• Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

• Integrates automation, robotics, and computer aided manufacturing software to improve efficiency.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• 2+ years of professional experience as a user of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.

• 2+ years of professional experience with Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software.

• 2+ years of professional experience with G-code.

• 2+ years of professional experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation.

• 2+ years of professional experience with knowledge of precision measuring tools, gauges, and equipment.

• 1+ years of professional experience with general understanding of Mil-Spec special processes including heat treatment, chem-film, anodize, passivation, and organic coatings.

• 2+ years of professional experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

• Preferred: Experience with CREO or NX for CAD and CAM, chem film and paint applications, Vericut, and familiarity with ISO9000 and AS9100 standards.

• Preferred: Experience with SAP, Apriso, and Windchill PLM.
