This position is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting modern web applications and services using React, Next.js, Node.js, and AWS cloud technologies while enhancing and maintaining existing enterprise platforms. The role participates in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, application design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, deployment, and production support for customer-facing and internal software solutions.
The position works independently on assigned projects and collaborates closely with team members to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. The role is expected to solve routine to moderately complex technical challenges, contribute to application design discussions, and make implementation decisions within established development standards and best practices. Compared to entry-level software development positions, this role requires a broader understanding of full-stack development concepts, increased ownership of assigned features and enhancements, and accountability for delivering reliable, maintainable code. The work performed in this position directly supports product functionality, operational efficiency, and the overall user experience.

Education/ Experience:
Four-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience
2-5 years of demonstrable professional experience on the Express js web stack
Full-stack development experience using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, HTML5, CSS3, REST APIs, Redis, and AWS services such as S3.
Experience developing, supporting, and maintaining Node.js applications, including troubleshooting issues, resolving defects, and implementing enhancements.
Experience developing responsive web applications using React and Next.js.
Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, web functions, and standards.
Experience with common design and code patterns (e.g., dependency injection, singleton, factories, etc.)
Experience working on high-concurrency public web applications
Experience implementing industry best practices as they relate to code construction and web application security
Familiarity with the Bootstrap framework
Experience with agile development environments and Scrum methodology a plus
Business domain experience in e-commerce and/or back-office applications a plus
Experience writing unit tests in an MVC environment a plus
Experience working in an AWS environment a plus
Hands-on experience with highly secured enterprise-level applications a plus
Experience writing multi-threaded applications in Nodejs is a plus.
Experience optimizing a slow running application for better performance and speed

Pay & Benefits:
Compensation is determined by various factors such as location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal and external equity and organizational needs. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
The salary range for this position is $85,400 to $96,050 annually. The posted range reflects our national average range for the job. We may ultimately pay more or less than the published range based on the factors mentioned above. This range may be modified in the future.
