POSITION OVERVIEW
Acts as front-line Supervisor to all assigned staff employed within the Employment Supports program. Interviews, makes hiring recommendations, and orients Vocational Specialists and Job Coaches. Ensures the success of employment support for individuals supported in accordance with the organization's policies, the program guidelines, all applicable licensure regulations and all related laws. Serves as the primary contact between the organization, funding agents, administrative entities and other team members, including the individuals supported and their representatives to ensure overall satisfaction of services.
Possesses a spectrum of knowledge in employment services. Determines when to use a supported employment approach to services and when to utilize a customized employment approach. Ensure that staff reporting to them understand the difference and proceeds appropriately. Monitors authorizations and maintains utilization within stated authorization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Confirms at all times the health and safety of each individual supported and apply emergency procedures as necessary.
- Ensures through mentoring, guidance, and feedback that employees' approach to services are congruent with the needs, wants and desires of each individual supported and the policies and procedures of the organization.
- Facilitates the development of relationships between employment supports staff and the individuals supported.
- Facilitates monthly meetings, ensuring the effective development of teams, dissemination of information and that the needs of the individuals supported are being met.
- Develops specialized support plans, in conjunction with the team.
- Facilitates the implementation of all supports as specified in support plans and/or in the Vocational Profile, work goals, job analysis and job facilitation plan.
- Ensures employment staff consistently works to meet goals set forth within support plans for the individuals supported within the time frame set by guidelines of the program.
- Communicates regularly with team members [i.e., employment staff, family members, advocates employers, case managers, therapists, physicians, and individual supported].
- Develops and maintains data, permanent records and emergency personal information related to individuals supported by the Employment Supports program.
- Conducts performance management.
- Demonstrates professionalism, dignity, and respect towards individuals supported, co-workers, management, and other associates both within the organization and outside the company.
- Serves as a constant positive role model with the individual supported, staff members, co-workers, management, and others both within the organization and outside the company.
Licensing and Contractual Compliance:
- Act in accordance with all agency policies, state and federal regulations, local monitoring standards, and contractual requirements.
- Submits required information such as physical examinations, vehicle insurance and vehicle registration administrative staff as requested by stated deadlines.
- Ensures employment staff consistently works to meet goals set forth within support plans for the individuals supported within the time frame set by guidelines of the program
- Reports all violations of agency policies, state or federal regulations, local monitoring standards, or contractual requirements immediately to Program Manager.

Administrative:
- Provides supervision and training to employment staff.
- Complies with all InVision Human Services policies, procedures and standard business practices.
- Correctly and accurately completes and submits by stated deadline, InVision Human Services required documents such as timesheets, expense reports and progress notes.
- Submits required information such as physical examinations, vehicle insurance and vehicle registration administrative staff as requested by stated deadlines.
- Adheres to schedule for arrival time, scheduled appointments, and other company related meetings.
- Attends training as required, attends and facilitates required meetings and attends regularly scheduled supervision with Program Manager.
- Proactively feeds information upwards to keep management well informed of issues effecting operations.

Financial Management:
- Reviews and verifies financial documents such as payroll and expenses
- Ensures employment staff provide information about benefits counseling
- Secures funding authorizations for new admissions into Employment Supports Program; provides all documentation required for purposes of billing for services.
- Requests approval for or makes programmatic expenditures within approved amounts or budgets.
- Provides full documentation of all expenditures made on behalf of the agency and/or each individual supported.
- Reports immediately any discrepancies related to use of personal or agency funds.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Program Manager
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises all employment staff [Vocational Specialists and Job Coaches and occasionally community-based program staff] working for assigned caseload within the Employment Supports Program
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent required, along with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in supported employment, vocational rehabilitation, workforce development, human services, business, or a related field. Candidates must obtain the Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) certification or Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) credential within six (6) months of hire. Additional education in a related field and previous supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from clients, families, regulatory agencies, and the community
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information to senior management, public groups and/or Boards of Directors
- Ability to comprehend access and utilize electronic medium and various computer programs.
- Ability to comprehend and apply basic mathematical concepts
- Competency in prioritizing multiple and competing projects
- Successful completion of motor vehicle records and background check.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
