The Staff Pad is partnering with a growing and well-established law firm to identify an experienced Employment Litigation Attorney to join their team in Colorado. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys being in the courtroom, managing cases end-to-end, and taking ownership of complex employment litigation matters. The firm offers a collaborative environment, strong leadership, and the opportunity to work on high-impact cases.

Position Overview The Employment Litigation Attorney will be responsible for handling a full caseload of employment-related disputes, representing clients in both state and federal court. This role requires strong litigation experience, strategic thinking, and the ability to independently manage cases from intake through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a full caseload of employment litigation matters from inception through trial
  • Represent clients in state and federal court, including hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
  • Handle cases involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour disputes
  • Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions (motions to dismiss, summary judgment)
  • Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery and taking/defending depositions
  • Develop case strategy and provide litigation risk assessments to clients
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation and arbitration
  • Collaborate with internal teams while maintaining ownership of case outcomes
  • Qualifications

    • Licensed attorney in the state of Colorado (or ability to obtain licensure)
    • 3+ years of employment litigation experience
    • Proven experience managing cases independently and appearing in court
    • Strong motion practice and deposition experience
    • Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
    • Ability to handle a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines
