So, what will the Employment Coordinator at Terrestris do?

The Employment Coordinator will provide outreach to Service Members of all Reserve Components, their immediate Family members in order to provide employment assistance, education benefits, retention incentives, and transition services, and track each customer's interaction and providing career support, development, and maintenance of civilian based careers. Specific services include resume writing assistance, social networking, interview skills (coaching), and connection to employers/their hiring managers.

What does a typical day look like for an Employment Coordinator?

You will:

  • Serve as the local point of contact for employment support and outreach to Texas National Guard and other Reserve Component Service Members and their Families.
  • Conduct career assessments and develop individualized employment plans; provide resume writing assistance, interview coaching, professional networking/social media guidance, and employment and training referrals.
  • Match jobseekers with employer opportunities and maintain follow-up through placement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with employers, hiring managers, community business leaders, workforce organizations, educational institutions, economic development organizations, labor organizations, and other community partners.
  • Deliver program briefings to military units and participate in Yellow Ribbon, veteran, job fair, and other outreach events.
  • Maintain knowledge of TMD, Texas Veterans Commission, Texas Workforce Commission, Federal, state, local, and nonprofit resources.
  • Track all client interactions, referrals, employment outcomes, employer contacts, resumes, interviews, hires, and related metrics in the approved CRM and support monthly reporting.
  • Meet performance objectives, including assisting with at least 10 resumes per month, helping at least 5 clients obtain employment per month, providing at least one unit briefing per month, and participating in at least two military/veteran hiring events per quarter.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:

  • Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to successfully complete applicable background investigation and security training requirements.
  • Background and demonstrated experience providing employment support services, including resume writing, interviewing/coaching, professional social networking, and employment placement.
  • Strong career counseling/customer service skills with the ability to assess client career goals and develop individualized employment strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish relationships with employers, community organizations, educational institutions, and workforce partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and public-speaking/presentation skills.
  • Ability to independently manage client cases, conduct follow-up, maintain accurate CRM records, and meet measurable employment-placement objectives.
  • Willingness and availability for occasional night/weekend work and occasional authorized travel.

  • Working knowledge of employment, education, transition, and workforce-development resources.
  • Experience supporting Service Members, Veterans, military Families, or military employment/transition programs.
