A 295-bed acute care facility, Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital provides quality care for an 11-county region in south central Kentucky. Facility services include complete cardiac care, a neurosurgery program rated among the best in the nation, a complete clinical laboratory, 24-hour Emergency Medicine care, Intensive Care Units, Surgical Services and Diagnostic Imaging. Specialized service offerings include Womens Health, Pediatrics, a Level II neonatal nursery, Cardiopulmonary Care and Behavioral Health. With a staff of more than 1,200 personnel, Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center is home to more than 170 physicians representing 38 different specialties.

Somerset, Kentucky, is located near Lake Cumberland. With activities like hiking, camping, boating, water skiing, jet skiing and fishing, 50,000-acre Lake Cumberland is one of the largest recreational lakes in the state.
