About the Role
We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and deliver real-time embedded software for complex systems. This role will involve working with systems engineering requirements, existing software, and cross-functional teams to update and improve embedded software architecture.
Software is primarily developed in C++ on a Linux/Rocky Linux target environment. Some existing algorithms are written in Ada, so Ada experience is helpful but not required.
 
What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and implement embedded software
  • Analyze system requirements and algorithm descriptions
  • Review existing software and recommend architecture improvements
  • Develop software using **Agile methodology**
  • Support the full software lifecycle, including:
  • Requirements analysis
  • Software development
  • Integration
  • Hardware/software testing
  • Acceptance testing
  • Final delivery
  • Work with multi-disciplinary engineering teams
  • Support development from Linux/Rocky and Windows host environments
 
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
  • Real-time embedded software development experience
  • Strong programming experience with C++
  • Experience developing software in a Linux environment
  • Hardware/software integration and test experience
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with RTI DDS / Data Distribution Service
  • Knowledge of publish/subscribe communication protocols
  • CORBA experience
  • CMake development experience
  • Familiarity with embedded real-time Ada programming
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams
  • GitLab CI/CD pipeline experience
  • Rocky Linux experience
