Job Summary
SNI Companies is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to support electronic assembly testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and production activities in Oldsmar, FL.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing electronic circuit card assemblies (CCAs), RF circuits, and electronic subassemblies, with strong component-level troubleshooting skills across analog and digital circuitry.
Responsibilities
Set up test apparatus and conduct testing of electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassemblies.
Perform component-level troubleshooting using schematic diagrams to isolate failures.
Troubleshoot analog, digital, solid-state, and micro-circuitry.
Assemble and lay out electronic units according to engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
Adjust and calibrate electronic assembly and test systems.
Identify and correct malfunctions by adjusting or replacing components.
Operate electronic measurement and testing equipment including:
Digital multimeters (DMM)
Oscilloscopes
Network analyzers
Signal generators
Frequency standards
Determine appropriate testing methods and sequences based on established procedures and standards.
Analyze test results and evaluate the performance of electronic products and equipment.
Assist engineers with developing and improving test procedures for new products.
Recommend product improvements and manufacturing modifications based on test results.
Document testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities accurately.
Support quality-control and statistical process-control activities as required.
Work effectively in a fast-paced production environment while meeting customer schedules.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree, or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks.
At least 1 year of direct experience testing electronic assemblies.
Hands-on component-level troubleshooting experience.
Strong understanding of analog and digital circuitry.
Knowledge of solid-state devices and micro-circuitry.
Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics.
Proficiency using electronic test and measurement equipment.
Experience with flying probe and/or high-power testing.
Ability to accurately document test results and maintenance actions using Microsoft Office and/or electronic data collection systems.
Ability to work in a dynamic production/manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with RF circuits or RF testing.
Familiarity with radar systems.
Experience with Vibration and Thermal ESS (Environmental Stress Screening).
Experience testing circuit card assemblies and electronic subassemblies.
Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience.
Experience supporting engineering test and development activities.
