Description

Test and troubleshoot electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits and subassemblies to the component level in a fast paced production environment supporting radar systems. Military backshop repair experience is a great fit. This is a contract role with opportunity for full-time hire.

Location: Clearwater, FL (onsite)
Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM ET, with about 10 hours of overtime per week
Pay: $22.00 to $35.00 per hour, overtime eligible
Employment type: Contract (W-2), approximately 12 months, with opportunity for full-time conversion

Job Responsibilities

  • Set up test apparatus and test electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits and subassemblies
  • Troubleshoot to the component level using schematic diagrams on analog and digital circuitry
  • Correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts and components
  • Use digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, frequency standards and signal generators
  • Determine which tests to run, suggest modifications to test equipment and analyze results
  • Assist engineers with test procedure development and recommend product or process improvements
  • Document maintenance actions accurately and support statistical process control checks

Qualifications

What you bring

  • 1+ year of direct experience testing electronic assemblies
  • Component-level troubleshooting of solid state and digital circuits
  • Strong working knowledge of solid state devices and micro-circuitry
  • Microsoft Office and data collection tools for accurate documentation
  • High school diploma plus specialized technical training (technical Associate's equivalent) or equivalent military training
  • Flying probe or in-circuit tester experience
  • Must read and write English

Nice to have

  • RF troubleshooting
  • Flying probe / in-circuit test experience
  • Radar systems familiarity
  • Vibration and thermal ESS of circuit card assemblies and subassemblies
