    Position Summary

    We are seeking multiple Electronic Technician I candidates for temporary assignments at a manufacturing facility in Plano, Texas. Candidates will interview with the hiring manager before starting.

    This is a physically active position that requires considerable standing and walking throughout the workday, as well as regularly lifting servers into and out of testing racks.

    Responsibilities

    • Assemble and reassemble products according to process documentation and established manufacturing procedures.
    • Test and troubleshoot server appliances to the subassembly level.
    • Diagnose hardware, software, operating-system, BIOS, and firmware-related problems.
    • Identify the root causes of technical and manufacturing issues.
    • Regularly lift servers into and out of testing racks.
    • Organize work activities to meet production and product-delivery requirements.
    • Track testing, troubleshooting, and analysis information using internal systems and Microsoft Excel.
    • Confirm that products have the latest approved revisions and are configured according to bills of materials and process-sheet requirements.
    • Analyze incoming return-material-authorization systems to determine whether faults are hardware- or software-related.
    • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to resolve issues and develop process documentation and labor standards.
    • Follow proper electrostatic-discharge practices.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
    • Report to work on time and maintain reliable attendance.
    • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or department manager.

    Qualifications

    • At least two years of experience in the PC, computer-hardware, electronics, or server industry preferred.
    • Familiarity with operating systems and firmware, including Windows, Linux, BIOS, FFRU, SDR, and BMC.
    • General understanding of manufacturing processes and systems.
    • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
    • Assembly-operator certification is a plus.
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
    • Ability to prepare basic reports and correspondence.
    • Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
    • Ability to define problems, collect and evaluate data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
    • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
    • Qualified candidates should be available to interview and begin the assignment as soon as possible.
