We’re looking for a Plumbing Department Manager to take the lead in building and growing a new residential plumbing division within an established home-services organization. This is an opportunity for a hands-on plumbing leader who understands the trade, knows how to develop people, and is ready to take responsibility for the operational and financial performance of a department.

This isn’t a role where you’ll simply maintain an existing operation. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the department, develop the team, improve processes, and help drive its growth and profitability.

What You’ll Own As Plumbing Department Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day performance of the plumbing operation while helping establish the foundation for long-term growth.

You will spend your days in this role doing the following:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of residential plumbing professionals.

• Create a culture built around quality workmanship, accountability, customer service, and results.

• Oversee daily operations, scheduling, staffing, resource allocation, and job execution.

• Ensure projects and service calls are completed efficiently while maintaining high standards for quality and customer satisfaction.

• Establish department goals and key performance metrics around revenue, profitability, productivity, and customer experience.

• Manage the department’s budget, forecasting, and P&L performance.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, technician productivity, margins, and overall operational efficiency.

• Help recruit, onboard, and develop plumbing talent as the division expands.

• Partner with senior leadership on growth strategies and longer-term business planning.

• Serve as a knowledgeable plumbing resource who understands what it takes to get the job done in the field.

What We’re Looking For We’re interested in talking with experienced plumbing leaders who combine hands-on trade knowledge with strong business and people-management skills.

The right candidate will bring:

• Significant residential plumbing experience and a strong understanding of field operations.

• Previous leadership or management experience within plumbing or a related home-services environment.

• A track record of building, developing, and holding teams accountable.

• Experience managing budgets, financial performance, and ideally departmental P&L.

• Strong operational instincts and the ability to identify opportunities to improve productivity and profitability.

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• The ability to operate effectively in a growing, fast-moving environment.

• A leadership style that is comfortable both in the field with the team and at the table discussing business performance.
