Electrical Maintenance Technician
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 5 days per week, on-site
Compensation: $30-33/hr
Additional: Overtime and on-call opportunities may be available
Position Summary
Seeking a hands-on Electrician Maintenance I to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues, minimizing equipment downtime, and ensuring safe, efficient production operations in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components to restore equipment functionality.
- Conduct daily, monthly, and annual inspections and maintenance activities on production equipment.
- Diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate repair solutions to minimize downtime.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements.
- Order and maintain inventory of replacement parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Perform routine inspections of machinery, filters, and plant systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Collect and document equipment oil samples for analysis to support predictive maintenance programs.
- Fabricate or modify equipment components and fixtures to improve efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Communicate maintenance activities, equipment status, and repair progress to supervisors and management.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience performing industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for production equipment and machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Experience working with motors, controls, drives, sensors, and related industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and maintenance instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently during night shift operations and respond effectively under pressure.
- Willingness to work overtime and participate in on-call support as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industrial maintenance, electrical, or related technical training/certification.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial production, or heavy equipment environments.
- Welding, fabrication, or equipment modification experience.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance software or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
