Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Test Fixture Design Engineer to design, develop, validate, and support automated and manual test fixtures for electronic, electro-mechanical, and embedded systems products. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mechanical fixture design, instrumentation integration, PCBA testing, hardware validation, and cross-functional collaboration with electrical, embedded, manufacturing, and test engineering teams. The role involves the complete fixture development lifecycle from requirements analysis, concept generation, detailed design, prototype development, verification & validation, design transfer, and production support.

Key Responsibilities: -
Test Fixture Design & Development: -
- Design and develop electro-mechanical test fixtures for PCBAs, subassemblies, and product-level testing.
- Create fixture concepts, architectures, and detailed 3D CAD models.
- Develop manual, semi-automated, and fully automated test fixtures.
- Design fixture mechanisms, enclosures, interfaces, guide-pin systems, and bed-of-nails solutions.
- Perform tolerance analysis and stack-up studies to ensure fixture reliability and repeatability.
Test System Integration: -
- Integrate instruments such as:
- Power Supplies
- DAQs
- Signal Generators
- Oscilloscopes
- Digital Multimeters
- Switch Matrices
- Support hardware interfacing for functional, verification, and validation testing.
- Collaborate with software teams for automation and data acquisition systems.
Verification & Validation: -
- Develop fixture qualification, verification, and validation plans.
- Execute reliability, repeatability, and GR&R studies.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Support test coverage analysis and failure investigations.
Documentation & Compliance: -
- Create engineering drawings, BOMs, manufacturing documentation, and assembly procedures.
- Generate test plans, validation reports, and design documentation.
- Participate in risk assessments, DFMEA, PFMEA, and design reviews.
- Support change control and engineering release processes.
Design Transfer & Manufacturing Support: -
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams for fixture fabrication and deployment.
- Support design transfer activities and production ramp-up.
- Troubleshoot fixture issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for standardization, modularity, and cost optimization.
