    Electrical Engineer – Power & Controls Systems in Richmond, OH

    • Full-Time | Direct Hire
    • On-Site (Monday–Friday)
    • Travel: Approximately 10%

    Are you an Electrical Engineer with experience in power distribution and industrial control systems? We're looking for a talented engineer to join a growing team designing and commissioning electrical power and control systems for oil & gas facilities. If you enjoy solving complex engineering challenges while working on projects from design through startup, we'd love to hear from you.

    What You'll Do:

    • Design, develop, and analyze electrical power distribution systems, motor control centers (MCCs), and low- and medium-voltage equipment
    • Develop and implement PLC, DCS, and HMI control system architecture, hardware, and software specifications
    • Create engineering documentation including one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, cable and conduit schedules, equipment specifications, electrical area classifications, P&IDs, and control narratives
    • Perform electrical engineering studies including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and protective relay coordination analyses
    • Prepare technical specifications for electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, VFDs, and related systems while coordinating with equipment vendors
    • Provide technical support during construction, installation, commissioning, and startup activities
    • Troubleshoot field issues and help ensure successful project execution
    • Ensure all engineering work complies with applicable NEC, API, IEEE, and other industry standards while maintaining a strong commitment to safety

    What We're Looking For:

    • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
    • 3–5 years of progressive electrical engineering experience supporting power and control systems in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial industries
    • Experience developing PLC, DCS, and HMI control logic using platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Yokogawa
    • Strong understanding of low- and medium-voltage power distribution, grounding systems, and protective relaying
    • Working knowledge of NEC, API Recommended Practices, and other applicable industry standards

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with hazardous area electrical design and installation (Class I, Division 1 & 2)
    • Familiarity with functional safety standards such as IEC 61511
