Electrical/Avionics Systems Integration Engineer

Develop and maintain the electrical architecture (block diagrams, schematics, ICDs)

Perform power‑budget, load‑analysis, and thermal‑electrical trade studies to validate margins.

Define and route wiring harnesses, select connectors, and coordinate mechanical routing constraints with the structure team.

Translate system‑level electrical requirements into detailed subsystem specifications and keep full traceability in the requirements‑management tool.

Oversee electrical assembly and integration of sub‑systems, ensuring correct fit, connector mating, and continuity.

Create and execute electrical verification plans

Identify electrical‑related risks, develop risk‑reduction test matrices, and conduct fault‑injection or surge‑testing activities.

Maintain configuration‑management records

Provide technical support during hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) and software‑in‑the‑loop (SIL) test events and troubleshoot anomalies.

Responsible for electrical compatibility analysis of the system, coordinating across all stakeholders

Ensure compliance with safety and standards

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field (master's preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience integrating electrical systems into missiles, aerospace, or defense platforms
• Proven track record with power distribution, wiring harness design, and connector technology.
• Hands‑on experience with electrical test equipment and verification
• Active and current Secret Clearance. Thus US citizenship is required

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with telemetry protocol standards, digital signal processing, embedded firmware/software integration and EMI/EMC management
• Strong power‑budgeting and thermal‑electrical analysis skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills to interact with subsystem leads, test‑operations, and senior leadership.
• Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities for complex HW/SW interactions
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00
