We are seeking an experienced Paralegal / Legal Assistant (4-7 years) to join our Elder Law & Estate Planning Department in Lake Success, NY. This department handles all aspects of asset protection, estate planning, estate administration, and estate litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and detail-oriented professional to support attorneys in a fast-paced and client-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and summarize estate planning documents
  • Maintain and organize client files and records
  • Communicate with clients regarding case status and document collection
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing legal documents
  • Prepare and manage spreadsheets and supporting materials
  • Assist with e-filing through NYSCEF
  • Provide general administrative and case support to attorneys as needed

Qualifications:

  • 4-7 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, preferably in estate planning or elder law
  • Experience with NYSCEF e-filing
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable communicating directly with clients and attorneys
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000, commensurate with experience
