Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to provide technical leadership and engineering support for capital projects, plant operations, maintenance, testing, and regulatory initiatives within a power generation environment.

This role serves as a key technical advisor, leading complex engineering projects from concept through commissioning while ensuring engineering standards, operational reliability, safety, and project objectives are achieved. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, project leadership experience, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple engineering and operational disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering activities for capital projects, equipment upgrades, and operational improvement initiatives
  • Provide technical oversight for project planning, design, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and closeout
  • Develop and review engineering documentation including designs, calculations, specifications, technical standards, reports, and testing procedures
  • Support operations, maintenance, diagnostics, and regulatory compliance efforts through advanced technical expertise
  • Provide field engineering oversight during installation, inspections, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities
  • Lead technical evaluations and bid review processes, including vendor selection and equipment recommendations
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for internal stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and external organizations
  • Resolve complex technical challenges related to equipment performance, reliability, safety, and project execution
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, estimating, cost control, and work management activities for engineering projects
  • Drive continuous improvement through development of new procedures, standards, and engineering practices
  • Mentor and provide guidance to engineers, technicians, and project team members
  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring schedule, budget, safety, and quality objectives are met

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Extensive engineering experience supporting industrial, utility, manufacturing, energy, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of engineering design principles, systems analysis, testing, commissioning, and equipment selection
  • Proven experience leading engineering projects through multiple phases of execution
  • Strong technical problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities
  • Experience reviewing technical specifications, vendor proposals, engineering designs, and project documentation
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, contractors, vendors, and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting power generation, utility, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure environments
  • Background in operations support, maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, or testing and diagnostics
  • Experience leading capital projects involving equipment installation and commissioning
  • Previous experience mentoring engineers and technical personnel
  • Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, work management, and project controls processes
